Took apart the base and sure enough, the pinch sensors were caked with debris. Gave them a thorough cleaning but did not remove them.Few steps: 1: Cut either the black or blue wire. 2: Get a 2k ohm resistor. (I didn't have any so I used a resistor and a potentiometer.) P.s.
